A story of Light

A tale of Lightbringers and Lightkeepers

The Ocean Stone Lighthouse stood just outside the village between majestic cliffs at the ancient coastal harbour. It has been there for as long as one could remember, with its natural construction of rooms and a towering rock shaped by the winds and the salty tides of the sea, weathered in the sunlight of the warm summers.

Its light kept burning, day and night, guiding ships safely to the village’s harbour and a point of reference to whoever searched for a way home, bringing solace to weary sailors. But behind this beacon lay a tale woven with wonder and wisdom.

In this story’s heart are two ever-present legends: Pelle, the Lightbringer, and Aiden, the Lightkeeper. Pelle is a youthful being, shimmering with luminescence, said to embody the essence of light. Legends whispered that Pelle emerged from the sun’s core, a radiant entity that spread illumination throughout the universe. Due to the presence of Pelle, prosperity came to the village. Wherever he walked, flowers bloomed, crops grew, animals animated, and villagers gathered, spreading the warmth of his light embrace.

The other legend, Aiden, the Lightkeeper, stands firm on the early plane. As the Ocean Stone House’s seasoned guardian, he cared for the house and its fire, providing the light in the tower. This noble caretaker’s duty had been passed down for generations, linking past to present. Aiden tended his duties tirelessly, ensuring its fire never wavered and its beacon never dimmed.

Through the years, Pelle and Aiden intertwined in the village, in all the seasons, with the people and visitors of its harbour. Pelle symbolises hope, and Aiden is the ethereal guardian with his dedication and compassion.

Yet, beneath the surface, a more profound truth lay hidden.

One stormy night, when the tempest roared, and the waves crashed against the cliffs with relentless force, a ship found itself ensnared in the wrath of the sea. Desperate cries for help echoed in the winds, reaching the ears of Aiden. Without hesitation, Aiden ascended the lighthouse’s spiral staircase, his lantern in hand, a beacon of hope amid the chaos, willingly offering his wisdom and experience to guide the ship home.

As dawn broke and the storm subsided, the sailors and villagers gathered to celebrate the safe return of the ship and its crew. Amidst their joy, they discovered a truth hidden in their midst. Pelle symbolised prosperity and ethereal light, while Aiden embodied its essence in guidance in this tangible world.

The Lightbringer Pelle and the Lightkeeper Aiden exchange values of compassion, courage, and unwavering dedication to illuminating the path of humanity, our communities, and our lives. Light, in all its forms, is the guiding power that leads us safely through the storms of life.

All of us, aware or unaware, reside a Lightbringer and a Lightkeeper. Through our intuition, inner knowing, spiritual creativity and exchanging our valuable and tangible definite purpose, we dimmer-shift the existence of the Lightbringer and Lightkeeper within to live fulfilling and joyful lives.
